Outstanding A Level Results At Ferndown Upper School

Ferndown Upper School students found out their long-awaited A level results this morning. Having never sat formal exams before, they rose to the occasion and received an excellent set of results. They have been superb throughout the pandemic and have deservedly performed extremely well in their A levels.

Despite a national dip in results back to 2019 benchmarks, the school’s headline figures were improved upon its 2019 outcomes with over a quarter of the students’ grades being the highest possible. However, we would like to focus upon our students and their achievements rather than school headline results. Therefore, the Ferndown Family would like to congratulate all our students with special mention for the following:

Makayla Cox A*, A* & A*
Emma Clarke A*, A & A
Sophie Doswell A*, A & A
Danielle Teed A*, A* & B
Abbie Thompson A*, D* & B
Lewis Bennett A, A & B
Holly Berridge A, A & B
James Wilkinson A*, B & B

Headteacher Philip Jones stated, “I would like to take this opportunity to thank both the students and their teachers for all their hard work and dedication. This has been a very challenging year for the students, and they have responded brilliantly, we are very proud of them”.
