Join our team and help ensure the successful delivery of exams for our students!

We are seeking Exam Invigilators to join our friendly team, assisting with the smooth running of all public and internal exams throughout the academic year. While previous experience is not necessary, we require reliable candidates with excellent attention to detail, strong communication and organisation skills. IT familiarity would be an advantage, but not essential.

Key duties include supervising students during exams, preparing exam rooms and distributing and collecting exam papers. This is a casual position, although we will provide you with full accredited training. You will be also be mentored by an experienced team of invigilators and Exams Office staff.

Flexible working hours will be negotiated for each exam period, with both full and part-day sessions available. Your working day during these periods may start before 08:30 a.m. and extend beyond 3:30 p.m.

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974. Ferndown Upper School will conduct online searches of shortlisted candidates. This check will be part of a safeguarding check, and the search will purely be based on whether an individual is suitable to work with children.  As care must be taken to avoid unconscious bias and any risk of discrimination, a person who will not be on the appointment panel will conduct the searches and will only share information if and when findings are relevant and of concern.
