AMAZING RESULTS FOR FERNDOWN UPPER STUDENTS
There was a real buzz and sense of achievement in the hall this morning as Ferndown Upper students celebrated another successful round of GCSE results.
More than 80% gained grade 4s, with over 50% of students gaining a grade 5 or higher, coupled with the fact that 20% of students gained the top grades.
Amongst those celebrating today include:
- Toby Richardson; six 9 and four 8s.
- Isaac Williams; six 9s, three 8s and a 7.
- Billy Beaman; five 9s, one 8, three 7s and a 6.
- Alisa Orak; four 9s, two 8s, three 7s and a 6.
- Sarah Linford; four 9s, three 8s, a 7, a 6 and a 5.
- Charlie Tompkins: two 9s, four 8s, two 7s and two 6s.
- Daisy Matthews; two 9s, three 8s, four 7s and 6.
- George Harvey; one 9, five 8s, three 7s and a 5.
- Isabelle Inge; one 9, two 8s, five 7s and two 6s.
- Oswaldo Jimenez; five 8s, four 7s and a 6.
- Serena Shillito-Smedley; four 8s, four 7s and two 6s.
- Michael Wooff; one 9, three 8s, three 7s, two 6s and a 5.
In addition, there were a number of other students who made exceptional individual progress, including;
Sarah Linford, Isabelle Inge and Alisa Orak (who appear on both lists), Harry Legg, Matthew Archer-Smith and Alfie Witt.
Philip Jones, Headteacher, said:
“There have been some brilliant GCSE achievements today, both for individual students and across the whole year group. Today belongs to the students and I would like to congratulate all of them for their hard work and dedication. I would also like to thank our wonderful staff for the time and support they have provided our students; this has been a real team effort.”
