Arctic Scientist Delivers Lesson to Year 10 Science Students

On Tuesday, some of our Year 10 science classes were lucky enough to take part in an international ‘Arctic Live’ event. This was demonstrated by a scientist who was broadcasting live from the UK Arctic Research Station in Svalbard, Arctic Circle. The investigation aimed to show how water becomes more acidic when carbon dioxide is bubbled through it. Thus, it demonstrated the link between carbon dioxide in the atmosphere and a process called ocean acidification. You can see the video here: https://www.youtube.com/embed/uTsXrNg4o84?ecver=1
