Grade 3 SCP  3-4 £11.79 to £11.98 per hour

Ferndown Upper School operates an in-house catering service for over 1,000 students with provision at breakfast, mid-morning break and lunch time.

We are looking to recruit an Assistant Cook who will work closely with our Catering Manager and also be able to supervise the team in their absence.


The successful applicant will demonstrate they have the ability to:


• contribute positively to the provision of a busy and quality service
• understand the importance of providing healthy, nutritional, well balanced meals
• manage staff effectively
• meet standards in line with agreed policies and procedures and health and safety standards
• provide a warm welcome to all students, staff and visitors.

The post holder will be required to build on their current catering experience with a ‘cooking from scratch’ philosophy and a real passion for assisting with the preparation of fresh quality meals. The post holder will support the Catering Manager to ensure efficient and effective operation of the busy school kitchen.

Ferndown Upper School will conduct online searches of shortlisted candidates.
