Part Time Teacher of Business Studies
to start September 2020
0.4 FTE (2 full days a week)
Working alongside our experienced Head of Business Studies, you will be responsible for continuing the delivery of our engaging curriculum that develops key transferable skills in our young people in Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5. This is a part time post 0.4 fte, 2 full days a week to start September 2020.
Ferndown is a successful 13-19 Upper School, being the most successful school in Dorset for the Progress 8 measure in 2019. We have a strong reputation for supporting and inducting NQTs and experienced teachers. Digital Technology is a three teacher team and part of the wider Science and Computing Faculty composed of twelve teachers and four support staff.
The wider department is a friendly, collegiate team, who work hard together to achieve high standards and have achieved excellent results. It is a strong faculty with high levels of recruitment and success at A Level, with many going on to take these subjects at University.
We are keen to produce innovative students who are eager to take their study of business and marketing further. Dorset has a strong portfolio of businesses in a variety of sectors, ranging from digital and creative to financial and tourism. We aim to produce students who will be successful in taking up careers in these areas in our region.
