Yr 11 Leaver’s Day & Prom Letter

Dear Parents of Year 11 students

As expected this year is racing by and we are beginning to plan for the Year 11 Leavers’ day which is on Friday 24th June. We have been very impressed by the commitment and effort that most of the students are showing and we are sure that when they open their results in August they will have the success that they deserve.

Obviously we want all of the students to be able to take part in the Leavers celebrations and the Prom, both on June 24th, but as always we retain the right to bar any student from these proceedings, who does not come up to our high expectations, including good attendance and punctuality to tutor times. We also expect all C3s to be cleared before a student can purchase a Prom ticket.

Having said that we hope to welcome all of the students to attend the breakfast at 11.00 0n 24th June. This will take place in the Sixth form block and although the students do not need to be in school uniform we would expect them to dress smartly for the occasion. This will be followed by a Celebration Assembly and we expect the proceedings to be complete by 12.30.
That should give them all time to get ready for the Prom at AFC Bournemouth at 7.30 that evening. We look forward to seeing them all in their finery!
There is a lot of work to be done before then as we want this to be a celebration of a successful three years and I am sure we can rely on your support as always to help keep the students focused and on track.

Do not hesitate to contact school if you have any concerns about the exams or the leaving process.

Yours sincerely

Marion Maidment, Claire Lock and Ryan Ellis
