Pupil Premium Impact
The academic progress of all students at FUS is tracked very carefully and where students are falling behind, strategies are put in place to support them. Particular attention is given to Pupil Premium students who are a priority for our Heads of House. All staff know who their Pupil Premium students are and liaise with the Heads of House who will intervene themselves or ensure that support is made available from the SEN team or other pastoral staff such as a Learning Mentor. Identified students were also targeted for special intervention classes in the core subjects.
In the summer of 2015, our GCSE Free School Meal students achieved a Value Added score of 987, up from 967 the previous year and significantly higher than the national score of 977 for that year. The Pupil Premium score this year was 996, only very slightly below the national average of 1000 for all students.
