STEM Community Garden
Our new STEM Community garden is progressing really well, despite the very cold weather, and should be ready for after half term.

Charity Request
If you would like to support our school nurse who is fundraising for Get Kids Going http://www.getkidsgoing.com/ (who provide sports and mobility activities for disabled children) by running in the London Marathon, you may do so on her fundraising page: https://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/janet-mckrill/1?utm_source=messenger&utm_medium=organic&utm_campaign=fundraiser&utm_term=socialshare&utm_content=fundriasingpage

She is also holding a ladies’ night fundraising fashion show.

Year 5 Science Day
It was lovely to see the Year 5 students from our pyramid partners coming up to the ‘big school’ for a fun packed science enhancement day on Thursday. The students all had great big smiles on their faces and fully enjoyed their time with us. May I take this opportunity to thank Mrs Bothamley and the science faculty for such a great event.

Year 9 Options Day
Today was Year 9 Options Day, with all of Y9 spending three hours taking part in activities to help and support them in the option choices, thank you to Mrs Stroud for organising this.

John Egging Cohort Launch
We also launched a new cohort of John Egging students, which is a scheme aimed at developing confidence and like skills. The John Egging Trust are firm friends of Ferndown and we really do appreciate all of the support that they provide to our students.

Year 10 Immunisations
These ran very smoothly and the students behaved impeccably.

Year 12 Work Experience Week
The feedback that we have received from our host firms is that our students behaved extremely well and worked very hard. We know how well behaved our students are, but it is always lovely to have this confirmed by others.
