Team Sponsorship?

If any business that would like to sponsor a Ferndown sports team in terms of kit provision then please contact our Head of PE, Mr Rob Hayter, RobHayter@fernup.dorset.sch.uk.

Our Students Are Making a Difference

POPP is the partnership for older people programme that tries to engage older isolated people in their local communities by encouraging them to meet new people and to use local services. Recently our students served them tea and talked to them. They were a credit to the school and learnt crucial skills for their future aspirations of work in the health and social care sector. The students involved were Hannah Gregory, Bethany Light and Liam Thom.

Local Charity Drop-in Session – 6th February

Mrs Helen Stevens (formerly at Oakhurst School) from local charity Dorset Rape Crisis is holding a drop-in at the Coffee Shop in the Local Epicentre on Station Road, West Moors on Tuesday, 6th February between 10am – 12noon.  Information about the charity’s specialist support services and how you can help support its work through volunteering will be available.  Everyone is welcome.

Illness in School

Please can you reinforce with your son or daughter that lesson time is for lessons? We have had an increasingly large number of students recently trying to leave lessons unwell. In future we would like students to only come at break or lunch time as pastoral staff have appointments during lesson times and are not available until then. Students who do report to the pastoral office unwell will either be given 10 minutes’ time out before returning to lessons or we will call home to ask for them to be collected.

PTA Request

Are there any parents who would be interested in forming a PTA? If so then please email LindaPapworth@fernup.dorset.sch.uk.
