National Performance Tables
The National Performance Tables were released this week and it was lovely to see FUS’s position at the top of the table confirmed for the key government accountability measure of A*-C in both English and Mathematics GCSEs.
FUS students also performed very well at A Level and again it is very pleasing to see our students results amongst the highest in the county for our A Level and Applied General combined progress scores (progress refers to students achieving better than expected according to their previous results).
Mon 23rd – Year 10 visit to Bournemouth Synagogues
Mrs Goldbey is taking the Y10 GCSE students on an Ethics visit to the Bournemouth Synagogues this coming Monday.
Wednesday 25th – Anxiety Workshops
Then on Wednesday, Mrs Lock has arranged for some of our students to undertake Anxiety Workshops to help to support them with the pressures and stresses that they are going to encounter in the run up to their exams. Hopefully the students will also be taught some key coping strategies that they will be able to undertake themselves.
Thursday 26th – Year 10 Poetry Live visit to Bath
And then on Thursday Mrs Senington has arranged a trip to Bath for our Y10 English Literature students.
