Children in Need Mufti – Celebrating Difference

To celebrate difference in our school we asked everyone to come in today in mismatched clothes.

Everyone got into the spirit of the event and there were definitely some interesting clothing combinations on show.


Monday Night GCSE English Revision Begins


Bringing Spanish Lessons to Life

Year 9 Spanish turned their classroom into a restaurant last week.

Students had the opportunity to explore traditional Spanish dishes, design a typical Spanish menu, explore pricing and euros, understand the use of Spanish ID when using credit cards, and work in groups on the creation of dialogues for their role-plays. They had a great time and their pronunciation and interaction was fantastic.


Year 9 Employability Skills Programme

Passover Meal Celebration

28 lucky Year 9s have been selected to take part in this programme which we received for free but which usually costs £3000.


Family Challenge – Thursday 13/12/18, 18:00

Students and family members are invited to take part in a fun and unique event which has been designed to raise awareness and show families of all abilities, some of the courses and careers available in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM). As well as give them the opportunity to work in teams with their families on an exciting ‘hands on’ activity, where they will have the chance to win a prize.


Sports Update

Our mixed Year 9/10 football team beat St Aldhelms Academy last night in a brilliant competitive fixture. Two goals from George Hawkins and Leo Zheng’s goal gave us the win, with a brilliant performance from our new goal keeper Kieran Bildstein.

 Well done to the 6th form netball team who beat St Edwards 17-12 on Wednesday. All the girls played brilliantly and showed fantastic teamwork and commitment.

The players were – Ellie Saunders (c) ,Katya Metelsky, Ella Proudly, Gabi Watson, Molly Hann, Naomi Melbourne and Abi Dearlove.
